RESOLUTION No. 68-2021; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND TO EXECUTE A SOVEREIGN SUBMERGED LANDS EASEMENT RENEWAL AND MODIFICATION TO REFLECT CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP WITH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
The City has been requested to execute a Submerged Lands Easement Renewal to properly reflect the change in ownership. In 2012 FDOT transferred the ownership of the roadway to the City of Stuart. The Submerged Land easement was in the name of the Department of Transportation. Now that the property has been transferred to the City, the easement should reflect the proper agency.
