The City is applying to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for an FFY 2019 to receive funding, Housing Category Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $750,000. The City will provide housing rehabilitation to serve approximately eleven (11) homes of low to moderate income households within the City of Stuart.
Staff will be seeking approval to submit the CDBG application and Housing Assistance Plan with the application to FDEO at the City Commission meeting on August 10th.
Funding Source:
A matching contribution in the amount of $50,000 for the CDBG program application was approved via Resolution No. 03-2020 CRA. The CRA matching funds will be spent to benefit LMI persons for housing rehabilitation activities in the CRA only.
