Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
To accept a grant from the Children's Service Council of Martin County, and authorize expenditures for and an expanded Summer Camp.
In response to the current CODID-19 social distancing guidelines from the CDC, the City of Stuart is expanding the Summer Camp that includes Flagler Center, and the Shuffleboard Court Building to accommodate more children. The Children's Services Council granted the City of Stuart a reimbursable grant not to exceed $57,807.00, to cover the additional costs associated with the summer camp program expansion.
