The Stuart Police Department is pleased to nominate Lisa Scott for employee of the month for the month of June. Lisa is currently the Executive Assistant (Colonel) to Chief Tumminelli. Lisa has served with the Stuart Police Department for over 33 years.
Lisa is the backbone of the agency. Throughout her career Lisa has worked in different departments becoming proficient in every administrative function. Lisa sets the bar as an exemplary employee. She is always cheerful and ready to work, giving 100 percent to every task she is assigned. Lisa also volunteers her time to take part in many walks, cleanups and other activities in the City on her days off. Lisa is always willing to help others by donating PTO time to employees who are in need.
During these unprecedented times, Lisa has remained steadfast in her duties and adapted to change by continuing to meet all deadlines, complete payroll, and ensure all functions of the Police Department continued seamlessly. Lisa always goes above and beyond and still makes time for her other duties. On top of her regular duties, Lisa currently serves as the secretary for the Stuart Police Officer’s Association (SPOA), she also serves on the Board of Directors of the SPD Community Foundation and in her newest venture, she is an advisor for the Stuart Police Explorer Post working with youth who aspire to learn not only about becoming law enforcement officers, but about life.
It is without a doubt that Lisa Marie Scott is an extremely valued employee at the Police Department. We would not be the same without her warm smile greeting us in the morning and wishing us a wonderful evening at night. Lisa’s willingness to always help those in need of assistance and her drive go out of her way to make sure everything is right is an example to all our employees. I have personally commented on numerous occasions that we could use a couple dozen more Lisa’s. Lisa is not only a staple to the City but to the community as well and for these reasons we believe that she is the best nominee for Employee of the Month and probably the All-Decade Team.
