RESOLUTION No. 69-2020; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA, CELEBRATING THE DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY AND DENOUNCING ALL ACTS OF RACISM, INTOLERANCE AND UNLAWFUL DISCRIMINATION, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
The right to assemble is sewn into the very core of the fabric of our nation. People from all walks of life must working together to overcome the setbacks and pitfalls associated with bias behaviors.
Throughout these difficult times, all members of the Stuart community have shown that they will stand by each other and overcome adversity. The City Commission has the desire to recognize and celebrate the diversity in our community and urges the citizens to continue to help our neighbors and work together to overcome outside influence and make sure the City of Stuart will always be a safe place for all of its citizens.
