RESOLUTION No. 63-2020; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEGAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH EISENSTEIN MALANCHUK LLP, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
The City is currently addressing environmental issues related to the groundwater within the geographic boundaries of Stuart. There is a chance that there might be older insurance policies that provide coverage for the City for costs related to the environmental issues. As a result, the City will enter a contingency agreement with the attorneys to identify and find the coverage. If it exists, the attorneys will be paid a percentage.
