Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
Request for Qualifications # 2020-400 was advertised in the Palm Beach Post on February 21, 2020. The Procurement Office sent complete proposal packages to six (6) suggested vendors. Simultaneously it was released on-line by DemandStar, who notified eight hundred and ten (810) potential proposers. Out of fifteen (15) planholders, seven (7) responsive proposals were received by 2:30 pm on the RFQL opening date, March 19, 2020.
The selection committee reviewed the seven proposals individually, in detail, using the established evaluation criteria to rate and rank the proposals. Then the selection committee met on April 15, 2020 to compare the individual ratings, and to rank the top four firms.
After discussion, rating and ranking the firms, the following four firms were ranked the highest:
Advanced Roofing, Inc of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Crowther Roofing & Sheet Metal of Florida, Inc. of Fort Myers, Florida
The Roof Authority, Inc. of Fort Pierce, Florida
Hi-Tech Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. of Lake Worth, Florida
