Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
Request for Proposals #2020-102 was advertised in the Palm Beach Post on January 6, 2020: Simultaneously released on-line by Onvia (www.DemandStar.com) who notified 1298 potential proposers and issued seventy two (72) RFP packages. Nine (9) proposals were received by the closing time and date of 2:30 pm, Wednesday February 19, 2020.
A five (5) member selection committee met on March 10, 2020, to discuss and evaluate the proposals based on the following criteria; the firm’s Qualifications, Experience, Project Approach and Schedule, Project Understanding, and Quality of submittal. The selection committee determined that Captec Engineering’s submittal ranked number one and it is in the best interests of the City to authorize negotiations with this firm.
The selection committee requests authorization to commence negotiations with the top-ranked firm, Captec Engineering of Stuart, Florida.
