Each year, it is decided among the Commissioners which community boards each is best suited to represent and attend on behalf of the City.
There are currently eight (8) boards for which the City Commission has previously agreed to serve. These boards do not include other personal commitments of the Commissioners. The seats on these boards are specifically reserved for a Stuart City Commissioner by the agency itself.
There are five (5) commissioners and eight (8) boards with some being more labor intensive than others. It is recommended that all commissioners serve on at least one board and then the City Commission decide which Commissioners are best suited to represent the City for the remaining positions.
