RESOLUTION No. 98-2019; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF STUART AND DUFFIELD MARINE, INC. FOR THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE SHEPARD PARK BUILDING (FORMER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING); PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
After reviewing the lease and the proposed uses authorized under same, it has been determined that an amendment to the lease would provide public benefit by releasing one of the two dock slips for City use. If the amendment is approved, all terms of the lease will remain the same with the exception that the western most dock will revert back to the City. Duffy Electric Boats will continue to operate from the premises.
