RESOLUTION No. 13-2019; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE UF/IFAS EXTENSION ‘FLORIDA FRIENDLY LANDSCAPING’ (FFL) PROGRAMS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
This Memorandum of Understanding continues the established agreement between the City and University to implement Florida Friendly Landscaping Programs in the City and outlines the contributions, duties and responsibilities of the City and University to implement the programs.
The previous Memorandum of Understanding has been expanded to include a new Turf Replacement Rebate Program.
Funding Source:
Funds were budgeted in Stormwater (1810) Other Contractual Services (534) and remain available.
Recommended Action:
Motion to adopt R13-2019 authorizing the execution of the Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Florida in the amount of $28,000.00 during the term of this MOU (15 months).
