Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
The Stuart City Commission awarded Request for Qualification No. 2019-300, Underground Utility Construction Services to the top four (4) most qualified firms.
Each firm was notified of the project on December 31, 2018. A mandatory pre-bid was held on January 10, 2019, all four firms participated. This project was competitively bid between the four firms, Felix Associates, and Johnson-Davis Inc., Centerline Utilizes, Inc., and Sunshine Land Design. All firms submitted bids by the bid opening date and time of 2:30 pm, January 17, 2019.
Public Works staff recommends award to Johnson-Davis of Ft. Pierce, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, for the total unit price bid amount of $267,120.00.
