RESOLUTION No. 2-2019 CRA; A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT #3 TO THE FY 2019 CRA BUDGET TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM THE PUBLIC ART TRUST FUND TO APPROPRIATE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000 FOR THE ART COUNCIL OF MARTIN COUNTY TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO REVIEW PUBLIC ART PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
Staff is requesting to use the Public Art Trust Fund to pay for the professional service fees for reviewing public art projects related to development, painted mural, sculpture and any other art related projects may be paid from the Public Art Trust Fund. Currently, there is approximately $8,000 in the Public Art Trust Fund.
The Arts Council agrees to provide consultation at a rate of $100/hour for review and presentation, up to a maximum of $200 (2 hours) per project. The Community Redevelopment Agency Board shall authorize in advance for consulting fees that exceed $200 for each project. These services include review by arts professionals at the Council’s discretion, the preparation of a summary review and recommendation in accordance to the criteria established in the Land Development Code and a presentation of the report at Community Redevelopment Board and/or Community Redevelopment Agency meetings, if necessary.
