Summary Explanation/Background Information on Agenda Request:
Last year, the Stuart Rotary Club worked with the City of Stuart to create a gateway monument in Memorial Park, called the "Distinguished Service Memorial." The monument as art work was so well-received, that Stuart Rotary wanted to finish the project with (phase 2). The Friends of Memorial, Veteran's Association and the Community Redevelopment Board have all approved the design concept. $44,000 has been budgeted in General Fund for the project.

Bronze Sculpture:
$19,000 – total sculpture ½ funded by Stuart Rotary
9,500 - Stuart Rotary
